Triple Dog Dare

Ok...I have close to 400 hits per day, but very few comments. So...what's the deal, Lucille? Are you all just shy?

I triple dog dare you to finish this sentence. C'mon...it will only take like a few lazy moments of your time:

The best part of my day was.....

I'll go first.

The best part of my day was having dinner with my sister at the pizza joint and laughing about the words "tubal ligation." (I think you had to be there.) Your turn.

Don't be a douche. Step up to the plate...

The best part of my day was getting home from a day in the downtown office; we teleworkers do not enjoy having to put on a suite and schmooze.

The best part of my day was hands down, coming home to my beloved dog asleep on the sofa cuddling into his cushion, blankie and stuffed toy :) And waking up when he heard me, with happiness in his eyes.

The best part of my day was finsishing taking some three 'chatty' oldies to the eye hospital, putting the car away in the council compound, and heading home for a well earnt 'Granny-nap'. Just how many illnesses can three geriatrics accumulate in a lifetime?! LOL!

The best part of the day was the Uncorked fundraiser at Johnny Carino's this evening, which very much helped me forget (albeit temporarily) about the very best - followed by the very worst - part of the day this very time last week.

The best part of my day was taking my dog to "dog swim" on the final day of the pool's season, and then deciding with my sister that humans needed to swim too, so promptly arranging to float the river.

the best part of my day was the conversation i had w/ one of my friends at 1am...begging the barman to take us to an all-night pet-shop so we could buy goldfish to house in our empty fishbowl cocktail glasses, and then insisting that to advertise the drinks as "fishbowls" was false advertising, that we should be given a fish in our cocktails to make the drinks worthy of the name...we went on like that for maybe an hour.we even had names for our potential fish (rosencrantz, lucretia, sesame and alex...) if only all conversation were that deep lol

I'm answering this at 8:26 in the morning - so I'm going to go with an answer from yesterday. The best part of my day was the conversation I had with a client and one of the peer workers I supervise - and just chatting. No crisis! No one cried! All good.

The best part of my day was driving to Walmart and rehashing my 12yr old's day where he told me that he's made some friends and found his "tribe of nerds". Laughing and being silly in the car without a care in the world. The best.

The best part of my day was getting called out by Maria for lurking.

No, really.

I can't decide. I've had a fantastic day. My friend Lea surprised me with an air pump for the bike I just bought, now I can go for rides with her. Tiff sent me a new camera bag. The weather is beautiful. I'm going out to hear music I love tonight...and it's Friday.

Today does not suck for Heather.

The best part of my day was sitting down with a glass of wine, a chocolate lava cake and the Lupe Fiasco CD and thinking that today sucked but I'll try again tomorrow and that is totally fine.

The best part of my day was saying yes to a second date even though it scares the jeebus out of me. I am not even sure if I want it to go anywhere with her, but I'm not immobolized anymore. I think if nothing else we can be great friends and that's not a bad place to start.
(the send best part was loking up photos of Jessica Chastain because I had no idea what she looked like and Vanessa Redgrave because she was beautiful at any age...)

The best part of my day was coming home and reading your blog.

You always talk about being honest. The truth is that I'm half in love with you just from reading your blog. The truth is that I lie next to my wife every night and wish it was you. The truth is that I would pay good money just to hear your "witch laugh."

Started the day with some awful, horrible news for a friend, continued with some sad news for my former in-laws, spent some sweet time finalizing wedding things with my Honey and Little O. Going to bed grateful beyond words for all that I have been given in this life.

The best part of my day was my coffee date with my mom at our local farmer's market. Love my mom, love coffee, the sun was shining, the farmers were selling their stuff (well, you know and also the folks were selling those french pastry things with the names I can't pronounce) it was ALL GOOD!

The best part of my day (yesterday) was that 'Friday feeling' that came over me about noon. It's one of the few things that I would miss about working full time!

I comment occasionally and read often. I enjoy the blog because it is interesting to have a look into the life of someone else. Also because I am a procrastinator and often have essays to write after work. And finally because it is nice to see not only the life of other people, but of other lesbians who are older and still together. There aren't many examples out there in the world and closer to home, not a lot of happy couples in my family tree!

I suppose I tend not to comment because I assume that since you don't know me, I won't have much of interest to say. Also, you seem like a person who likes good grammar and mine seems to have gone down the toilet in recent years!

The best part of my day... in which I am supposed to be writing about fiscal and monetary policy... was waking up next to my girlfriend who is home for the weekend since we currently have to work in different parts of the country. Knowing that we have a long weekend to look forward to together, three more nights to sleep together, and then celebrating by... making eggs I believe it is called!

Sorry...not trying to be a douche, just didn't see this until today (Saturday). Back to work, busy as hell, haven't had time to read posts!

Today I have been cleaning and doing laundry. The best part of my day so far has been my first sip of coffee. I'm done with all the boring stuff and will be shopping and swimming in a little while, so there's time for my day to improve!

The best part of my day was finally getting home after my daily long drive which is even longer on weekends, right before the nursing home called me to come right back (across the Bay) because they couldn't handle Flip, but I can't because I would miss the cat's insulin shot. The best part of my day was also before I saw that I have another shingles attack and also hives. But you are probably hoping for something more cheerful, like eating that almond croissant from the farmers' market. Feel free to edit me.

We have a neighbour with a cat called Jim. We also have a large stuffed hippo we call Hilda. She is very soft and Jim loves Hilda very much. If we leave her on the floor Jim will knead her. Today I finally managed to capture this on film, that was the best part of my day.
