True story 2

I woke up around 5:15 this morning to pee and as I was heading back to bed, I realized that I could see Kate Middleton's dress RIGHT NOW if I turned on the television.

So, I very, very quietly turned on the television in our bedroom to get a glimpse.

It was gorgeous.

And then I heard a soft groan from the bed. Bing.

"God, you are such a GIRL!"

Fuck it. It was just a glimpse. And then, ok, I watched for like five minutes just until Will smiled at her. I had to stay for THAT.

This is really kind of pathetic, isn't it?

I guess.. I mean the hype was so unbelievable that I switched the TV on for a while as well... But I think the amount of attention this got was ridiculous. Kings, queens, princesses, in this day and time?

What I would have applauded is them having a low-key ceremony and donating all this money to charity, some cause that needs this money, how many children around the world could live on this $$ and for how long?! Unfathomable.. Excuse this liberal fanatic rant though. Bwah.

Yeah, kinda!
But I must admit that I watched it while getting the kids ready for school. Hell, I couldn't avoid it if I had wanted to. It was everywhere!!!

we were pathetic right with ya!

and as far as yesterday's post - as someone who has - and is - living it - you are taking the right stance. you'll find most people could care less. i know it will all turn out okay.

Maria,
I set my DVR so I could watch it in all it's pomp and stuffy glory!

Not to be nit picky here, but.....
The first public glimpse of the wedding gown was at 6:03 am EST. At 3:15 am central time, I am not sure what gown you could have seen. Perhaps it was a lovely dream?

Nope. I've tried my hardest to ignore everything related to the wedding/Princess Diana/Royal family for weeks now. But my tv/alarm turned on and I awoke to the choir singing angelically and I got sucked in. I'm such a girl.

Then, I saw Pippa (Kate's sister) looking hot and I kept watching - cuz I'm a girl...who digs girls. lol

Everybody loves a good fairy tale. If the shoe fits, put it on, Cinderella!

Yes, kind of. But that's ok. I was dying to see it too! I never would have turned on the TV during a late night pee break, but I did have it on the entire time I was getting ready for work this morning and, dammit, I didn't get a glimpse of it until my lunch break at work. If you'll remember from a long ago post of mine, my dear Little M. gave you the perfect comeback for Bing...

"Shut up, PANTYHOSE!!!"

Nope. I accidentally got up that early this morning - really - and figured since I was up anyway I would watch - and isn't her SISTER a knockout!! When I got to school later in morning the butch dyke in my class was telling me all about how she had watched it - on purpose - and how beautiful it all was. I guess there are all types of GIRLS out there.

I sobbed. I effin' sobbed when I saw Kate in the car on her way to the abbey!
I'm not a sobber but I sobbed. Fuck!

So yeah, you're pathetic, but I totally relate!

I am so fed up of the entire thing. This side of the pond it's all wedding all the time. Jeez.

(Although, Hot Prince Ginger is still hot, so y'know)

I am jealous. You got to see it live. I gave up and went to bed at 11:30 then kicked myself all day for not staying awake and watching. I had a crush on 16+ Charles and all his horses as a 10year old. The soft spot is still there.

right you are...I meant to write 5:15...not 3:15...

Will remedy it...

Me, too!! Only if truth be told ... I stayed awake and watched nearly until the recession. (darn it for having to get ready for work!) And yes, I also got teased for being so corny. But here's the thing ... it was just nice to watch something so joyous, so lovely, so full of hope for a change. Don't you think? =)

No matter how anti-royal or whatever we are... every girl seems to have that "princess" aspect in her... and yeah, the dress was lovely!

My daughter and I got up at 12:50 am West Coast time and watched until the sun came up. The dress was gorgeous! Kate and Pippa were gorgeous! Will and Harry were gorgeous!

My favorite part: trees in Westminster Abbey... :-)
